OUGD602 / Nootropics / Packaging Design Research

The cardboard holding the tea bag - this ensures the customer can carry the tea bag around with them during the day and avoids it becoming damaged in their bag.
- Intricate pattern gives the design a pleasing and engaging look will help to appeal to target markets. 
- Originally sold in a jar, this keeps the tea bag safe. the glass jar is durable and can be reused but also recycled. 



- Tea bags hand from a string and is connected to a character, this is a fun and exiting look, so will engage the right audience.

- The packaging helps to give an identity to the brand.
- The arms of the charters gives the impression that they are bathing with the tea
- Different characters could be made to suit the teas and the audience, for example in the second image its based on political people and leaders.




- Minimal packaging, the tea flavours are displayed on the front of the packets and indicates to the customer the range of flavours, this makes the shopping easier as it becomes recognisable.
- The use of card creates a sturdy packaging product, and can be recycled after its use.
- Clean design and simple, the type is legible, the illustrations would stand out.



Citea is designed to show tea in the city, illustrations on the tubes are used to display this concept.


- Mellow colours shows a relaxed design - perhaps reflecting the tea.
- Cardboard used for this packaging, keeps the tea bags safe as its durable, also can be recycled.
