OUGD402- Studio Brief 02- Self Branding- Design Decisions

I have chosen a variety of different colour ways in which I could choose, however I prefer the brighter/lighter colours as I think they reflect my style better as I have noticed in a lot of my work I have used bright pastel colours.

I have experimented with many different layouts for the back of my card where the information is. I struggled with what to call myself/ what I do, my initial ideas were:
Graphic Designer
Graphic Design
Designer
Creative Thinker
Graphic Designer in progress

I feel that I as I am only now finishing my first year it is too soon to call myself a Graphic Designer therefore I have just written 'Graphic Design'. A lot of people say they don't actually know what graphic design is, but putting something like 'creative thinker' causes even more confusion I think as it is even less concise. I think writing 'Graphic Design' hopefully communicated the clearest form of what I do.

My final colours I have chosen. (above)
I have chosen 2 typefaces that would both work well, Apercu and Neuzeit Grotesk. I founf Neuzeit Grotesk when I was on the Grafik website as it is their typeface they use for everything. I really like both of these typefaces and I have narrowed it down to these 2 because they are both very legible, they look clean and modern.

My colour swatch is very bright and fun, it isn't primary colours but almost which makes it have quite a child like feel to it, I have used a lot of these colours throughout my work this year so I think this reflects my style well.

I have created a grid for my business card and used this grid for my presentation. This way my presentation will be consistent with my business card- creating a stronger and more consistent identity.

I have also created a range of possible layouts for a letter head.
